We are excited for you to join us! Please review this page carefully for important information about completing registration for your campers. 

1. Camper Forms

Please click on the link to fill out the Camper Forms. Fill out one for EACH camper and make sure to fill out all sections: Camper Information & Emergency Contacts, Medical Information, Participation Agreement, Consent & Release, and Media Release. 

2. Parent Handbook

Please read the Play Makers Parent Handbook to familiarize yourself with camp policies and procedures. It also includes details about what campers do during the day as well as a checklist to be prepared for the first day.

4. Meet our Camp Administrators

Matthew Steven Lawrence

Matthew Lawrence serves as Primary Programs Co-Manager at Alley Theatre. He has worked regionally as an actor and choreographer in California, Washington State, Utah, Oregon, and Texas. His work has been seen with the following companies: PCPA Theatrefest, The 5th Avenue Theatre, The Village Theatre, Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Utah Festival Opera, The Great American Melodrama and Vaudeville, Mainstreet Theatre, and Santa Clarita Regional Theatre. As an educator, he has taught for Village Theatre and various private schools in Seattle Washington. Before joining Alley Theatre’s ECE team, Matthew was the Fine Arts Consultant for the United Way Greater Houston’s Bright Beginnings. His work in the educational field has resulted in four publications in the NAEYC Teaching Young Children Magazine. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in child development and family studies from the University of Washington where he was awarded with a certificate of high scholarship. In addition, he holds an artist diploma from PCPA: Pacific Conservatory Theatre.

Charlize Tabrizi is excited to join the Alley Theatre team as the ECE Administrative Coordinator. She recently graduated from Emerson College with her degree in the Business and Practice of Theatre. Having grown up in the city and previously interning for the Alley’s Play Makers camp, Charlize is happy to return home to Houston. Her experience in theatre includes everything from marketing and producing to acting and scenic painting. When not working in theatre, she enjoys spending time with family, baking, and struggling to learn the bass guitar.

Ashley Love serves as an ECE Programs Manager, overseeing Alley Articulated corporate training and our Arts in Health initiative while helping to support Primary Programs. She is an award-winning professional director, intimacy choreographer, actor, and mental health coordinator who prioritizes curiosity, sustainability, and connection in their work. Her creative work has been seen at the Kennedy Center, Warner Brothers and Fever Entertainment’s Yule Ball, Stages, Queensbury Theatre, Crowley Theatre, The Wayward Artist, Bluff City Theatre, Theatre West Virginia, The Octarine Accord, The Blue Theatre, Haven Arts Theatre, Creative Movement Practices, University of Houston School of Theatre and Dance, COM Theatre, Be Theatre, Sam Houston State University, and Angelo State University. Prior to joining the Alley Theatre, Ashley was a theatre professor who also taught guest workshops at The Ohio State University, TTU School of Law, University of Idaho, Rice University, middle and high schools across Texas, Texas Educational Theatre Association, Texas Thespians, and the Region 6 American College Theatre Festival. She was a recipient of the TEACH Fellowship, The Ohio State University Research Fellowship for Dalcroze archives, Innovative Research Award from American Theatre Education Association for her published research on the application of music in the rehearsal and training process, and multiple awards from the American College Theatre Festival for their work in educational theatre. They are a certified Mental Health Coordinator and Artistic Mental Health Practitioner with the Association of Mental Health Coordinators and a member of National Society of Intimacy Professionals. Ashley holds multiple certifications in trauma-informed mental health work, BFA in Acting from Texas State University, MA in Theatre from Texas Tech University, and an MFA in Directing from University of Idaho.
